Interim - Why Choose interim

An interim opportunity is a temporary job or position that is available for a limited period of time.
We all have heard the expression 'a short window of opportunity '; a brief period to exploit an opportunity, to make a change, a short respite of trading perhaps, a chance to do something and make a difference. We might sometimes consider this opportunity, as a chance to provide an interim solution, something we might action with a view to making a more permanent future-proof, sustainable change.
Guided or indeed constrained, by the time and duration of the 'window', we might have to act adroitly and execute a plan or project as swiftly as we can to achieve both quick wins and that sustainable change.
The resource to execute a plan or project, a process change, or re-structure whatever the intended 'opportunity' or 'the window' for change might be, will most importantly be dependent on the human resource. It might be the 'interim' PMO - the seconded resource, removed from their BAU (business as usual) responsibilities.
In the event, that 'the window' is a lull in trading, quiet period, resources might be more normally associated with other non-peak activities - anything from stock takes, reviews, and various housekeeping activities........So, perhaps, the Interim opportunity is actually the opportunity to bring in the 'Interim' resource; a practical solution to acquire the experience fit, (often overly experienced), with the skills to work within the time constraints to ensure the deliverables and desired outcomes.
